Why is avocado, also known as Alligator Pear, extremely valuable as a skin care treatment and remedy? Its pulp is rich in protein and fat, as well as moisture. These fats are the monounsaturated type which is great for your heart and circulation. What makes avocado an intrinsic part of every woman’s beauty routine is the fact that it is rich in Vitamin E, which is the mineral most commonly associated with anti-aging products. The vitamin E in avocado also helps with dieting. Avocado is also one of the best sources of potassium, and it can supply 60% more potassium compared to banana.
Avocado is also rich in fiber, which means you can eat avocado whenever you feel constipated or stressed. In fact, traditional families always make their young ones eat avocado to make sure that they’re excreting body waste properly. Pregnant and lactating women also consume avocado by the bowlfuls because of the presence of foliate (folic acid), vitamin B6, iron, copper and magnesium in the pulp.
Avocado is best consumed on the beach when your skin is soaking up the sun and you need to replenish nutrients quickly. Consume some as a salad and mash the rest for applying on your skin.
